Sänger Nikolas drückt das so aus: „We hope that at the end all will leave the show feeling that they have found a bit of home.“

Bandinfo:
Breaksea Caravel is a ragged group; traversed through many hardships, over many oceans, seeking rest, looking for home.
With their varied personal and musical backgrounds, the 5 members of Breaksea Caravel come together to form a theatrical, gypsy-inspired orchestra from Minneapolis, MN USA, setting their individual sights on one goal; unfettering the feet and hearts of the audience, and together, breaking the glass between audience and performer through raucous music and storytelling. Creativity and ingenuity drive Breaksea Caravel to broaden their musical depths and test visual ideas, often using a bicycle-powered generator to power the stage lighting and move the tossing waves.
Breaksea Caravel have played many kinds of venues; from the small confines of an anarchist learning center basement to many major rock clubs, from throughout the Midwestern USA to Iceland, Germany, Poland and the Middle East.
Over six years, Breaksea Caravel have recorded 3 albums, adding to their depth and instrumentation from one to the next.
Their first album “anchor”, was a taste of the street performances that have been the foundation of their style and energy. Their second album “whale”, included several more musicians, a more diverse style and further explored the desire for adventure and the mysteries of the Seas.
With a new album out, steeped in folklore of the “sweet water seas”, an infamous butcher and the very pursuit of a home, Breaksea Caravel are making their way to Europe once again for a series of shows based on personal and fictional stories on the topic of “Home”. Theatrical and energetic, Breaksea Caravel bring their street/sea stories to the stage with the intention of connecting with the audience in an intimate and personal way and with the hopes that at the end all will leave the show feeling that they have found a bit of home.
"Though I may never become a pirate, gypsy or even a respectable scoundrel, at least I can listen to bands like this play and imagine for awhile that I am free from the Midwest, free from concern and most importantly, free from the boredom of conventional music." Jon Behm - www.howwastheshow.com
